Is Uditi Prakashan a traditional or self-publishing company?
We are a self-publishing company providing you complete control over your creative work. Our experienced publishing consultants will help you publish your book in less than 11 days.
What is Basic and Premium Cover Design?
In Basic cover design, you can select any image (from pixabay.com) or background color and we will design your book cover without any further customization. For Premium cover design, we will design taking inputs from you and full customization will be provided. You can always send your own design or photo to be included in the cover design.
Do you publish in all languages?
We publish in English and all Indian languages.
Do you provide proof-reading and editing services?
Yes, we are a full-scale publishing company. We offer proof-reading, plagiarism check and editing at additional cost.
What do you mean by Manuscript Formatting?
You just have to send us typed content in Word format and we will format your manuscript to make it ready for printing depending on your selected book size.
Can I publish handwritten notes?
Yes, you can send us your handwritten notes and we will get it typed at an extra cost. Please note that proof-reading is not included in typing service.
What is the minimum number of pages required for publishing?
If your manuscript is more than 20 pages or 5000 words, we can publish it.
Who owns the copyright?
Copyright of your published book is always yours. We are a self-publisher working as a facilitator to realize your dream of publishing your book.
How will my book be printed?
Interior of the book is printed in black & white on 70-80 gsm paper and cover page will be printed in color on 230+ gsm gloss/matte paper. Being a leading self-publisher of India, our printed books are of top notch quality and all books are bound on machine giving a perfect finish.
What is ISBN?
ISBN stands for 'International Standard Book Number'. It's basically a 13 digit identification number that uniquely identifies your book. We are registered with Govt. of India's ISBN Agency (isbn.gov.in) and we provide authentic ISBN which can be verified on their website. A separate ISBN is assigned for Paperback and eBook versions of your book.
What is Print on Demand?
Traditionally, books are printed on Offset Printers which requires minimum 500+ copies to be printed, thus incurring huge upfront costs and managing excess inventory. Print on Demand is an efficient small-run printing process that still provides maximum exposure, but with more author control and minimal investment. As an author, you don't have to invest in inventory anymore. We print books when we receive an order.
Where will my book be sold?
We will list your paperback book for sale on some of the largest ecommerce websites of India like Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. We will manage inventory and deliver your books. And for eBook, you can choose to sell on Amazon and Google Playstore. We also provide international distribution details of which you can check on our
distribution page.
How much Roaylty will I get?
It is the percentage of sales that you receive when your book is sold. We offer 100% royalty to authors after deducting the cost of printing and delivery. For eBooks sold on Amazon (Kindle Store), we will setup your account with Amazon so that you receive royalty directly from Amazon. Royalty for ebooks sold on Amazon and Google Playstore varies from 20% to 70%.
What is Author Dashboard?
Author Dashboard is our web app where you can track sales and royalty of your published book. You will be provided with the access once your book has been published.
